Injury crisis hits Bescot
Walsall are staging two friendlies this week to test out more trialists as an injury crisis threatens to prolong the Saddlers’ poor run.
Walsall played a Shrewsbury side last night, and face Stockport in a Pointins League game as well.
Richard Green has joined Rochdale on loan for a month, and Wayne Thomas has also gone for a trial up there.
Currently skipper Neil Pointon is sick, Chris Marsh has a sore Achilles, Dean Keates a knee injury, and Darvo Mavrack a strained hamstring. Add in the fact Andy Rammell and Mark Robins are unlikely to be fit for the clash with Stockport on Saturday, and you can see Sir Ray has a few problems.
