Viveash disgrace
Long serving defender Adrian Viveash today announced he is quitting the club in the summer after the board refused to offer him any improvement on his existing contract.
Viveash, one of the most popular and respected players ever to don a Saddlers shirt, was dismayed not to be offered an improved contract earlier in the season. His current deal expires in June, and today he broke his silence, expressing frustration the board had not offered him a better deal when other players “had been sorted out”.
Coming just 24 hours after the club were sentenced to second division football next season, the Viveash news is a bitter blow for supporters, and question marks now once again turn to the Walsall board. We await with interest the view from the official Website, no doubt due soon.
