Walsall’s brilliant start to the league season has granted manager Ray Graydon the ‘Nationwide Division 2 Manager of the Month Award’ for August.

Consecutive victories against Rotherham, Oldham, Swindon, Oxford, and Wigan leave Graydon’s side with a 100% league record, a club record start, and 15 goals that leaves them as the leagues top scorer.

Graydon last won the title in May 1999 as the Saddlers were promoted
from the Second Division after his first season in charge, a big favorite with the fans Graydon has earnt the popular nickname Sir Ray.
