The Express and Star is reporting that Paul Merson is sweating on news of a calf injury before Saturday’s game.

The Walsall player-manager suffered he injury a few minutes before the end of the defeat at Blackpool. Merson says that it may turn out to be a strain and, if so, could keep him out for a couple of weeks.

Saturday will, however, see Aranalde and Osborn ready to return following suspension.

Walsall reserve goalkeeper Dean Coleman has received a well earned reward for his performance on Saturday.

Coleman, who saved two penalties on his debut at Blackpool, one with his first touch in League football, has been named in the Football League Team of the Week for Division One.
