Paul Merson has said that ‘keeper Andy Oakes may have to have an operation on his injured hand.

The Express and Star are reporting that Oakes is due to have the plaster removed from his injured wrist in a couple of weeks time. Paul Merson said that, if there is no sign of an improvement then, the former Derby shot stopper may have to have an operation ont he injury.

The Star is also saying that Merson has already approached Everton about extending Ruddy’s loan, should it prove necessary,
