Striker Move For Next Week?
Manager Kevan Broadhurst has told the Official web site that he is getting close to being able to make a move for a goalscorer next week.
Broadhurst has made this his major priority, especially with the shortage of experienced strikers lef thim by the previous incumbent, and it has been difficlut to see where the goals will come form to pull the team clear of the relegation places.
Although he has said that he would prefer it if the answer to his problems came from inside of the club (and he will have Paul Devlin available again), he does feel that he will be able to make a move next week, if needed.
In an earlier interview on the site, he also said that the players were coming in for extra training in order to get out of our current predicament.
He said:
“The players realise that we are in trouble and have agreed to put in as many hours on the training ground as it takes. It’s a positive step that we have this agreement and they are pushing themselves hard.
We have been training morning and afternoon and the sessions are very intensive and focussed. I have initiated regular fitness tests and there will be other changes introduced as well.
Things have to be done properly and we have to work hard. There is a reason why we are near the bottom of the table and things had to be addressed quickly”.
This is as close as he has come so far in pointing out the reasons for our current plight.
