The Evening Mail has revealed the name of another of Kevan Broadhurst’s deadline day targets.

The Walsall manager had managed to sign Steve Claridge on a loan deal until the end of the season, but it now seems that he had been looking to strengthen his defence as well.

Derby County’s ex Birmingham City full back Jeff Kenna was also a target, throwing into question either the manager’s confidence in regular full back Craig Pead, or the fitness of the former Coventry City player.
