Ian Roper’s testimonial game will be against no less than local rivals West Bromwich Albion.

The game will be on July 15th, with a 3.00 pm kick off and will, therefore, form part of the pre-season build up for both relegated teams.

Hopefully, the more friendly rivalry there is between the Saddlers and the Baggies than exists between us and some other local teams will mean a big turn out, but without any “edge” to it. This could be a great day for “Ropes”.
