Harper Stays At Northampton
One of the names being banded about as a possible answer to our goalkeeping problems is no longer available.
Lee Harper had been mentioned on the message boards as a player we would like to bring back, as a replacement for the now departed Andy Oakes. The player has, however, now signed a contract extension at Northampton Town.
Manager Richard Money has, however, indicated that another signing is close and, of course, a goalkeeper is now one of his top priorities.
Another possibility emerging is that of Grimsby Town ‘keeper, Steve Mildenhall, who is locked in contract talks at the moment.
Mildenhall is reasonably well rated at this level and is beleived to want to move away from Grimsby to somewhere closer to his original home. He is from Swindon and they are reported to be interested, as are Yeovil, thanks to former Grimsby manager Russell Slade, and Shrewsbury. We would also fit the bill.
