Walsall’s first fixture in the new Division will be against Rochdale away, with the final game away at Swindon.

The most attractive fixture looks like a trip to Torquay on Easter Saturday and we are at home to old rivals Shrewsbury on Boxing Day.

There are strong rumours on the message board that Richard Money’s next move will be for a very promising Premiership youngster.

Anthony Stokes, an 18 year old left sided player and striker (who has also played in central midfield for the reserves successfully) is the one attracting the interest. The player is Irish, born in Dublin and has made one first team appearance, against Sunderland in the Carling Cup.

He is described on one Arsenal fans’ site:

Previously with Kilnamanagh, Cherry Orchard and Shelbourne, Anthony Stokes joined Arsenal in 2003 where he is highly-rated by Arsenal Academy Director Liam Brady. Capped at Under 15, Under 16 and Under 17 level. Capped last season by Sean McCaffrey at Under 17 level, he scored two goals in the 2-1 away win over Turkey”.
