Since we scored a goal at home …

Gillingham have the best defensive record in the bottom half of the division apart from Tranny and our good selves, and they have a better record than all except the top six in the top half. So, 0-0 on Saturday anyone?

You’re right. They’ve had 3 clean sheets in a row.

They’ve scored fewer goals by far than any other team, although they have improved since spending a bit of money in January.
Football is weird of course, so probably one of us will win by the odd goal in nine.

It is, but we seem to manage to be oh so predictable. I guess scoring 3 at Hartlepool was a step away from the norm.

Without our seven goals against Hartlepool we’ve scored 29 in 33 matches. On the other hand, if we could play them every week…

No chance of a 0-0 Tom Nicholls always seems to score against us, wished got him 3 seasons agoo

0-0 written all over it on Saturday. Hard to see us winning anytime soon only chance would be a scrappy 1-0 but even that feels unlikely

418 minutes, it seems much, much longer…

It is. The 418 mins excludes any injury time.

No need for this sensationalist language about 418 minutes. It’s less than 7 hours!!!

Hmm, sorry to be pedantic, but the stoppage time can’t really be counted as you can’t score during a stoppage, same as you can’t score during the half time interval, which isn’t included either :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

I meant the added time at ends of each half. The amount put on the board.

Dont think the 418 minutes includes that.

Oh but you’re saying the 418 minutes does include time when the ball was out of play.

Fair point.

I know, that’s what my comment was about. The time added is to account for stoppages in play, such as goals, injuries, subs etc which by definition mean that a goal cannot be scored during that time.

Doesn’t affect us.

Good idea. We are going to a friend’s 70th birthday do on Saturday afternoon & I will miss listening/watching/going to my first game of the season. A difficult choice!
Will be at Blundell Park though.

That’s GMT - don’t forget to allow for the extra hour before we play Sutton.
