I’ve got a hat in that style that my Grandad gave me, think he had it for Cardiff.

Not taking the piss, I am going to have to spend all day tomorrow now trying to find it.

Go on, you know you want to

We’re going on safari next week so Ive bought it mainly to keep the African sun off my head and neck. Might double up keeping the London rain off my thinning hair as well

I’m going for a what looks like a confident 3-0 win to the Saddlers.

I fancy us to score in the first 5 minutes - Hall or Jellis

Then spend the next 40 minutes being battered but not conceding.

Second goal just before half time from a corner, one of the defenders

Then 4 substitutions around 60 minutes to finish the game off with Adomah scoring the third in the 85th minute.

After all we will hear and read about is how Wimbledon deserved more, we’re unlucky etc etc but that won’t matter a single bit to a Saddler

I pray for that scenario to play out mate!

This would be brilliant and love the optimism

As long as the match doesn’t mirror the season.
3 - 0 up at half-time…
You know the rest.
I could still envisage a last minute winner, but all the cardiology units in the Greater London area (and Walsall) will be a little busy.

In a WM interview he mentioned that McEntee wasn’t part of the squad due to him picking up an injury against Barrow and he had been playing through the pain. An even more baffling decision to play him against Accrington from the start in that game. All will be forgiven/forgotten if we win at Wembley though

A random thought that entered my head on my commute, if the game was going to penalties and we had a sub left, would you bring on Hornby for Simkin?

He was really off the pace in a p.poor team performance at Barrow. It was an odd team that Sadler put out. No Harry, Dave benched with two coming back from lengthy lay offs in the back three.

Simkin saves penalties dosen’t he?

Bigger thing would be who would be the five to actually take them.

Allen, Adomah, Lakin and then I’m struggling a bit.

Those are the top three anyway as think Lakin scored a few penalties when he was at Sutton United.

Who missed in the Leicester shootout, Dave, Gordon and one other so keep them well away as pressure on Monday would be ten times an early league cup round.

Taylor Allen

Taylor Allen missed v Leicester.

He’s scored them regular for us in the league. His penalties though, they rely on giving the keeper the eye and getting him to go the wrong way. I think if the keeper delays and guesses the right way, he would save it.

We don’t have great options for penalties really, although we have won more penalty shootouts than we have lost.

This one would be quite a bit more pressure, not just for us either. Who keeps their nerve wins. I really hope it doesn’t go to penalties but after the way this season has gone, it feels inevitable.

My old man will be looking down on us from up in the sky.. it’s been 3.5yrs since he passed away. You would never find a more passionate Walsall fan. He loved the saddlers and england. I remember just before he died of cancer in august 2021 watching the euro final with dad. Even when he was so ill he was a big supporter of us. He so wanted to see us win at Wembley.

Miss you dad.
Do it for him Walsall.

Just do it :white_circle::red_circle::heart:
