This is great, and a sharp reminder of the role Whitney played at the club before the managerial fiasco. This is the first season in 15 odd years that he hasn’t been part of the Walsall set-up, can’t help but think we’ll miss him in a way.

Most telling was the line “a perfect number two”. I am inclined to agree. A really enjoyable and insightful article to read.
