Bescot Changing Rooms

After watching some of the away days videos that the media team do i recently noticed how poor the facilities are in the home team changing rooms.

Compaired to other teams they are shocking really, wooden benches and a peg. They are due a major refurbishment.

Same goes for home/away dug outs on the side of the pitch. Compared to other league 1/2 teams very poor.

Traditional. That’s all.

Heres the thing. The players are there to get changed for a game of football as opposed to having a lounge around drinking Cognac playing video games.

I think it’s just a space issue, it’s pretty constrained under the stand I think, if the ground was being designed now they’d probably allow alot more space for the changing rooms. I visited Goodison Park recently and couldn’t believe the state of theirs, very similar.

Didn’t they used to be half the size of what they currently are until a manager (can’t remember if it was Taylor or Flynn) asked them to be knocked through and made into one room?

That was at the training ground. But they do look very small.

Took this picture in there last season.

“Budge up!” :joy:

Plenty of room between No 8 and No9

Well Sadler has always said he had a close knit squad, couldn’t get any closer could they.

Facilities? In the Buckley days, they used to have a practice game on the car park on the Friday before a game.

The goals were left there, even on matchdays.

Gives a new meaning to “parking the bus”.

League table states no one gives a fk

Thats why Joss Labadie used to get sent off after 15 minutes, so he could get changed and have a shower without someone’s elbow poking in his side

Disappointed. I was expecting shots of Lawrence LLewellyn-Bowen on there, zhouzing them up. :face_holding_back_tears:

Shocking, bet there isn’t even a bidet in there.

No wonder a lot of our players have a close relationship

Didn’t Jose Mourinho insist that Chelsea had BOTH changing rooms when they played here in the League cup a few years back

That’s Sadlers seat.
