Yes, very impressed with Jellis. Lot’s of options in midfield and, against a team that is going to be at the top of league 1, we have held our own quite comfortably.

Jellis, Simpkin and Ram have all impressed for me. Disappointed by Barrett. Like the back 3 and would like to see more of that combination. Good first half. We should be leading against a side that have spent a lot this close season.

That was a boring first half… if we play this much long ball all the time then this is gonna be a long hard season… we arent even trying to mix it up… just hoofing it to gordon

Apart from his double miss (to be fair, he showed good technique to get the initial one off as a first time volley - and on target) Lakin has been a bit anonymous. RAM doing more from where I’m sitting.
Interesting 45 mins. Not sure I’m seeing much different from last season. Seem decent enough at the back, although still with a mistake in it. Think we look a little lightweight in midfield and still keen to hit long balls down the channels for Gordon to chase which I guess he is where he is most effective, leaving us fairly toothless up front.

Barrett looks ok, up against a quality winger, got done twice but recovered well for the 2nd one.
Simkin looks like a quality signing, commands his box and has one hell of a kick on him.
Jellis looks bright and busy.
Lakin has quality in him.
Josh Gordon, doing what he does , 
Back 3 look solid.
Goal line clearence was nowhere near the goal line and going wide.
Very promising 1st half.
