Considering the squad we had, it’s mad how we took the fight the final day. The squad looked so hopelessly short that me and my friend had an agreement in pre season that every time we went 2 goals down, we would leave and go back to the pub. Simply because we felt there was absolutely no chance of us getting back into the game!
If we had stayed up that year it would have been the greatest achievement in Walsall history imo
