You just know our lot are going to give Cook shit, and you just know what the probable outcome will be …
I’ll be complimenting him on how handsome and svelte he is.
Or that he has a pigeon chest
it’s his corset that causes that
let’s all sing Cookie wears a corset
If Liam Gordon isnt fit I would start with Lakin at LWB may not be the quickest but is solid and a workhorse. I wouldnt move Allen from LCB. Matt to start with Lowe up front and Earing, Stirk and Jellis in midfield
No they don’t generally travel in good numbers. I expect a few more this weekend though.
This is from a couple of seasons ago now but I always thought they had one of the more impressive away gates in the division. They’ve already sold in excess of 1,000 tickets for this weekends encounter as early as the beginning of this week so should make for an electric atmosphere.
We need to start showing some consistency, 5 league games so far,the 2 we lost we seemed to go backwards, Morecambe was just ok Cheltenham was above average and Swindon was way above expectations. The fans who don’t go every week will look at those results and think " no I’m not going back yet". Sadler needs to show the fans past and present that the squad is on an even keel and gradually moving forward, not one step forward and 2 steps backwards.
I’m not sure that is true, they always seem to bring a good number.
I’d be disappointed if a significant number of our fans thought like that, those that only want to be with the club when things are going well. Those of us who have stuck with the club through thick and thin (or thin and thin over the last few years to be brutally honest) can see progress has been made, even in the defeats I think there have been some positives to take that show signs of progress being made and the the three cup results and performances against high level opposition have been hugely encouraging too. I’d be imploring any ‘fairweather’ fans to get down there and see it for themselves.
Good post.I don’t think we should ignore the cup results when assessing the start of the season. I think it has been a good start and if we win Saturday a very good start. Progress is being made and after years of mediocre football there are distinct signs of improvement.
This is usually a defeat with Cook scoring. I’ll be optimistic and go 1-1 with Cook scoring.
He will fancy it with so many CBs out.
We did win at Bradford last season, with Williams snuffing out Cook. It can happen.
A lot will depend on the injury situation and who is available.
Do You think you’re the only one to have stood by the club through thick and thin Croddy? There are hundreds who’ve dropped off over the past few years who’ve supported the club all their lives.they’ve had to decide whether to keep putting money into a club that to be honest have done nothing in the past 5-6 years to deserve it or spend the money on other things. If the club have a good run and are there or there about come Christmas then the home fans attending will gradually rise nearer to 6,000 . Then you can comment on what magnificent “audience” we’ve got.
It’s a troll account.
To your first answer absolutely not.
Your second point is something of a contradiction because these set of supporters obviously haven’t stuck with us through thick and thin if they have given up on us and decided the club don’t deserve their support. That’s their prerogative though and of course if they want to come back as the good times are returning then that can only be good for the club I just thi nk they are a little entitled generally if they don’t see 9 points from 5 league games (3 away games) two home victories in the cup against L1 sides and a winning draw away to L1 champions elect and still demand more if they are to grace us with their presence.
Played 8 won 6, in all competitions.
Seems fairly consistent to me.
Keep winning at home and average a point a game away and we’ll piss it. Can’t see what more people would want.
Well I suppose they might be waiting for our massive FA Cup run, to go with our League Cup and EFL Trophy successes as well.
I hope our coaches can give some clear advice to our defence about the Cook menace.
Technically it’s 4 wins as the other 2 were draws at fulltime but we (amazingly) triumphed in the penalty shootouts. According to most bookies, that means we won the ties but drew the games.
Picky.
But yes I was waiting for someone to point out the drawn games with the shoot outs.
I’m just feeling extremely optimistic having got rained on all morning, wading round in an inch of water all day and having to remove 5m x 9m marquee roof sheets in 30+ mph winds.
