Not done well at all for them, the fans don’t rate him from what I’ve heard.
If only we had a decent striker to replace Matt, I’d be confident of promotion.
Both Hall and Jellis looked back at it today, good signs .
Have to say a word too for Stirk - I’ve given him a hard time last few months but he looked much more composed today and passed more confidently..
Sorry - posted this in the wrong thread!
i think it will sell out didn’t we sell out for return leg in rhe mickey mouse cup against preston ?
I think we only have about 2k tickets left to sell. The corner (away and pallet track) and about 500ish between the family stand and the upper tier.
If we do win my big big big hope is we don’t invade the pitch at the end, EFL is under massive pressure to crack down on it and club will be getting a massive fine.
Shades of Bristol city in the 88 playoffs
Chesterfield dominated possession and along with it created 3 or 4 clear opportunities to score but for Simkin
We have also wound them up with our game management.
This is a long way from being over and I have a bad gut feeling.
Anything stopping individual fans or perhaps one of the supporters groups sponsoring a child from them and paying for their ticket?
Suppose some will be purchasing tomorrow on the phone rather than get a ticketmaster charge.
Totally agree.
Seems he kept him on so long to defend set pieces again today. I don’t think that justifies it though. Second half we were playing long through balls and expecting him to hobble after them.
The striker is the weak link in this set set up.
Imagine if we had Freddie Draper or Nathan Lowe in this system
Maybe next season
Why “or”? Why not “and”?
I think we could get Lowe back if we go up.
Did Bradford get a massive fine?
We did sell out for that game but from memory, we did an offer on the tickets whereas this one is normal matchday prices. We also gave Preston the whole of that end (c2,000) whereas we’ve only given Chesterfield 1,000.
By my maths, if we sell out those currently available we still have more blocks we could open up. Obviously block A in the family stand, but also at least another block (Block 9?) in the “away” end and maybe Block F in the family stand.
Doing all of that would still leave a block or two for segregation purposes.
So still a very long way to go before we can contemplate a sell out. We’ll know more after today. Unlike yesterday, the ticket office will be open for phone and in person enquiries.
We need to play exactly the same way on Friday they didn’t have a clue how to break us down and we offered some threat same 11 as well except possibly Jamma.
It was £10 a ticket v Preston.
Was the home end built when we played Oldham and siggi scored? We had half the away end then too and was sold out?
I know what you mean about Jamma and his lack of mobility. But his presence and reputation means he’s a huge distraction for defenders. This in turn means that now we have some footballers in the side in the guise of Hall and Chang we have a chance of exploiting some of the resultant space.
As others have said, if there’s a next goal, it’s a big one. I just don’t fancy us trying to sit out a lead.
Cook was clever in his post match. It was some advice for the officials on Friday about time wasting and also a rallying cry for his troops about how us lot will turn if they score first.
He’s wrong about us lot, but being right isn’t what he was trying to do.
If we can’t sell out this game then shame on the town (with the exception of those that go)
