As others have said, the sales for this demonstrate that a ground that holds around 9,000 Walsall fans is about right.
What it also demonstrates is that there are some awful sight lines at Bescot. The few tickets left have some of the worst views in professional football.
Therefore if we are to ever develop the place we should build a new away end (the only bit where demand regularly trumps supply and where the new disabled fan regulations mean that our away end is now odd and demands more segregation wastage on big games such as tonightâs). And then work on those damn stanchions - a living symbol and memory of the shame of the original circumstances surrounding the move and execution to Bescot

Tough game to call. Think Chesterfield will knock it around the back, as is their way, but we wonât press, we donât need to risk leaving gaps, but we will block the passing lanes.
This will force Chesterfield to go long more often, so Williams and Dave will be key performers.
Most likely scenario for me is a 0-0 with Chesterfield risking more as the game progresses.i think we will hold firm though and perhaps pinch one towards the end exploiting space Chesterfield leave and sparking wild scenes.
