So they did, no idea!

Of course we should, I hope that everyone would, and that the offenders receive huge fines and lengthy bans. Why would anyone not turn them in?

The people who throw flares during football matches genuinely believe that they are doing something great, that will add to the enjoyment of all fans.

They are of course all really thick, but they are also lacking emotional intelligence, with no awareness of how their actions are seen by the vast majority.

The same can be said for people who invade the pitch during the match. They are being selfish, but they also think that only stuck-up spoilsports are against pitch invasions at exciting moments. They think that most of us will love seeing them on there.

The inability to see the effect your actions have on other people is at the heart of lots of the things that are wrong in society. People who cover walls with graffiti believe they are improving the look of the place. Those who play loud music on public transport think that we will enjoy hearing their music.

Pitch invasion started from the OAP stand few blocks.. the blocks that didn’t sell till Thursday, maybe a batch of future fans in there.

absolute towels for curtains behaviour with throwing flares on the pitch.

A few years back there was something about a preference for teams to play in one colour when on the tv as it’s easier for viewers to identify each side.

I’ve no idea if that is the reason, but it’s plausible

I agree with your post Bernie, but would perhaps add some folk are anti social because it boosts their ego not doing what they are told.

I did wonder if it was a tv related thing. South Africa World Cup 2010 seemed to be the start of that nonsense, with the Dutch in all orange. Since then we have had England and Germany in all white, Italy and France in all blue and so on.

Are you Fishing to get their shorts colour changed ?

True.

They do not think they are bad people, spoiling things for everyone else out of spite. On the contrary, they think they know best, and they enjoy making their mark, having a noticeable effect, and going against the rules adds to their enjoyment.

We wore white shorts for the league home game.

Exactly so. Home team wears home kit. Simple. Unless we have deemed them to be lucky red shorts since Crewe

To be honest, I think they expected to roll us over and in disappointment are taking it out of the team that beat them (horrible club, bunch of cheats, not very good etc.).

They also think they’re massive and the brand of football they play is superior.

When you consider their recent history (5 or 6 seasons in the NL) it is simply astonishing that they’re giving it the BB over us. When were they last in the second tier? Look it up, it’s a long, long time ago.

For all that, I have good experiences of Chesterfield as a club and loved Saltergate. The rivalry in the 70s, 80s and 90s was decent. But at the moment they come across as sore losers (minus Paul Cook).

Chesterfield are hypocrites or should i say Cheaterfield

Thought their fans were excellent yesterday, but there’s been some real sour grapes guff spouted online.

Footballing aesthetics aside, we’ve beaten them 9-4 over the course of four games this season, so it’s unsurprising they find us so uneasy on the eye.

The players ran out before they should have,so the ref insisted they got them back in the tunnel so both teams as per usual came out together.

Absolutely untrue. You can call them whatever you like, and some will agree, but not everyone does.

Some of them have posted videos of themselves on faceboook :joy:

Clever move!

Beyond my comprehension - but then again, so is the idea of having a flare and throwing it on the pitch.

No way. I wouldn’t risk a criminal record or getting banned.

Agree with you.

There was a lot of gamesmanship last night - that, the start of it.

Walsall’s game plan upset them. They had no way of breaking through our lines. The first half spat between their player (Banks?) and Jamma, was a distraction and after that I though Jamma was really subdued. Haven’t a clue what went on but it seems that there was an allegation that Matt had said something and it had been reported by the player.
