Club Statement: Manny Monthé

What’s happened?

According to @latviancheese, alleged homophobic remarks made to a FGR player when he was at Tranmere.

Also on the FA website, his charges are up on there somewhere

Oh dear. Wouldn’t feel comfortable watching him in a Walsall shirt if those are proven to be honest.

Neither would I.

Guessing we knew this when we signed him.

That’s the background checks Taylor and co have done to get the right characters in :joy:.

Yep you’ve really got to question that line :man_facepalming:

Presumably some sort of process has been followed but 5 months from the game in May until early October to charge a player seems odd.

Innocent until proven guilty. As stated by club he has denied it

That’s why I said “if those are proven” :+1:

We must have been pretty confident of his innocence when we signed him
Otherwise the club have given us another stick to beat them with

Hope it’s not true cus I really couldn’t support a homophobic scumbag player and would want him out the club. Hopefully it’s just a misunderstanding somewhere

Gay lives matter

Great to see the wheels of justice moving so quickly- it’s taken 5 months for the authorities to determine whether there’s a charge to answer. In the meantime Manny has had this hanging over him like the Sword of Damocles.
I know the claim needs to be investigated thoroughly but why has it taken so long? How long does it take to interview the ref and presumably a few players?

I must admit I’d find it quite funny if he was found guilty and carried on with taking the knee nonsense isn’t that all about equality. Eating themselves alive by the day these do gooders are .

Hilarious.

Cant stand people that do good. Much prefer the likes of Hitler and Pol Pot
