Crewe Alexandra (A) May 3rd, 3pm

I’m currently hiding on the school playground so none of the other parents see me to wind me up (and keep my ranting to a minimum) :joy:

Repeating the same old rhetoric again.

“Loads of teams would love the be in this position”

Really? Going 2 wins in 20, and relinquishing a 15 point lead?

Mentality is all wrong.

Sadler needs to shut his gob and walk. Pathetic Mentality.

Loads of teams would love to be in this position?? Any other Team would have sacked him 6 weeks ago!! We are the only team that could get into this mess

Certainties in life:
Death, Taxes, Labour cocking things up, Morecambe’s Eden project never happening, Walsall never escaping the 4th Division (except through the trap door).
I’m an advocate and embassador of the first in that list!

Re Sadler above, does Sadler ‘REALLY’ believe the nonsense he spouts??

Loads of teams would love to have their entire fan base calling for the managers head.

The bloke is so deluded it’s beyond words.

I will back Sadler to the hilt but it’s criminal how underused Wheatley has been. A player with huge potential, Man U will be absolutely fuming with how we’ve treated hgim which is not good for us.

I actually do like him. I really want him to do well. In the situation we have had, i think its the only thing you can publically say.

Its over. But one good winning game can put us in a good mental space for the 1st leg of the playoff.

The players have needed a good kick up the backside for months now, i dont see Sadler having that side to him i can imagine the players are sick of the arm round shoulder and being told everythings ok.

Agree , it’s very old school but something had to change to get us out of this slump. A bit of passion, some time wasting , dark arts .. we’ve done nothing.

I sat by the bench for the Vale game, and they were at it for 90 minutes. Whilst Sadler stood arms crossed with his hand on his chin.

His body language is not great at times.

Well said.

It’s criminal how this child in a grown up’s body thinks he can play football! Did you actually SEE him at Bradford? It was as if a kid from an infants school had been thrown on to a grown up’s footy pitch! I’m a better player and I’m 77 and dead!
Little wonder that even Sadler doesn’t rate him at all.

We have been to all home games and 15 away games this season, to be fair.

If it were just me, I’d give this one a miss.

There are three possibly four games left of this season. In theory we could be promoted tomorrow, in reality it will be the playoffs and yet another opportunity to get something out of this season.
Like everyone else I’m desperate to see us go up but with almost certainly more of the same and a team on its knees and confidence gone I fear I’ll be attending league two games next season.
Trivela are going to have to think very carefully about where we as a club go from here because of the fallout from what in my opinion has become a dreadful end to a season that promised so much.

Either way promotion is technically still in our own hands … only now there are 5 teams in total in the same boat

If anyone is still in need of a ticket I have a spare ticket available. Collection Wednesbury.

He obviously means current league position with still the possibility of promotion, not form wise.

The 20 teams below us would certainly love to be where we are.

Problem is considering he puts a lot of emphasis on the people side of thing his choice of words sometimes shows a lack of emotional intelligence, possibly because he tries to take the emotion out when looking at things.

The phrase about many teams would be glad to be where we are is of course true, but can come across to some people as “shut up and be happy, what are you moaning about” which I don’t think he means for one minute.

Would have been better to talk about having looked like we would have had it done before the last game but not working out that way, but we go in with a chance and it being up to us to take that despite it not being in our hands and not having any regrets on the day etc…

i.e recognising we shouldn’t be here given where we were but as we are doing everything we can and keep fighting.

Without that there front of chirpy optimism just looks like being deluded and in denial.

I didn’t and won’t listen to it but do they not realise how patronising it is keep coming out with that kind of crap.

It’s worse than what has happened to me. Is no one from within the club going to acknowledge what a monumental cock up this is. If they can’t say, then just say nothing.

Blood is boiling again.

I know you are a positive fan,

but when things like this from within the club keep being said, they are basically saying we are all thick.

I beg to differ, that is exactly what he means and seems there are others at the club that think the same. Take the " I know it’s frustrating we aren’t 20 points clear" line.

A stronger manager, like a few we have had in the past I could name, would never have allowed this mentality into the club. Do you remember Chris Nicholl saying to the players at every ground we went to “Take a good look, we won’t be coming here next season”
