What were the chances that of the top seven clubs in the division, playing today for a total of 21 points, only one, Wimbledon, would fail to get all three.
We’re now eight points ahead, but the chasing pack, like a cycle tour are gathering to chase down the leader.
Ours was such a vital win today, its essential we now build and go on a second run and make the best of our next half dozen fixtures - not top teams but tricky fixtures against teams in good form…with mangers like Holloway and especially Flynn with something to prove.
These next few games will make or break our season. They should not be underestimated, but at our best, nether should we.
PS: Where the Hell have Grimsby emerged from? Win their game in hand and they move into the play offs at Crewe’ expense.

Just posted this on the other thread, before you started this one.
Looking at the upcoming fixtures of the chasing pack, the next 4 games are massive. If we can get 8-10 points from those games we will maintain a healthy lead. If we get a poor return, I can see Bradford, Wimbledon, Notts County and even Vale breathing down our necks, which will add pressure later on.

Grimsby have been there or thereabouts for most of the season. With a minus goal difference. Theyve only drawn 3 so far
