Thanks Saddlerone1
Very very very disappointing
Was it the works do?
Give the ticket office a call and collect them at Swindon. We almost always do this for away games as it saves the postage fee and having to go out to the club shop. The only thing to bear in mind for Swindon is that away tickets are collected from the same window as home supporters (behind the goal) and there was a bit of a queue before the 5-0 drubbing earlier this year…
Took them to the ticket office, as I picked up a Swindon ticket at the same.
The club should still crack on with function and let you lads have a day on the beer?
I’m sure plenty would still go.
It was BUT all is not lost apparently there will be a practice session in Rugeley, the town of dreams, hastily being organised.
When the club rang me the first replacement date they could offer me for 30 places was the 28th January v Bradford, almost every home game hospitality is getting sold out which I suppose is very good news.
Gutted looks like the warmer weather is coming a touch too late.Looks like it’s the 29th now then and then New Year’s Day so I believe.
That was an option but it’s not the same without the football and of course we’ve got the 15 year unbeaten run to continue!
If you’re around tomorrow pop down town, you know everyone anyway
I would add that the club are superb at organising and communicating every year and also for various other games we’ve had hospitality.
I definitely would of mate but I’ve been struck down with the dreaded man flu so I wouldn’t want to pass that on. Whatever you do though please stay out of the shrew … have a great day
Hope you feel better soon mate and Merry Christmas by the way thought I may have bumped into you at the ground tomorrow to say it in person but obviously it’s off now.
Purely selfish but I’m glad it’s off.
Have felt rough as fcuk the last couple of days so plan to lie on the settee all day hopefully.
lt’s disappointing the game has been called off, but a sensible decision nonetheless.
I’m starting to get withdrawal symptoms as it’s been a while (3 weeks) since we’ve played a game.
Buzzing it’s off as I couldn’t attend with my sons bday! Boom !!
Thanks mate. I’m sure I’ll bump into you at (or even in a bar before) a game in the near future.
Why did your respiratory infection go to Manchester in the first place?
I’m at this stage now. Not sure how I’ve got to work today to be honest.
It only happened because of the rail strikes. Couldn’t get a train , so it flu.
Daft decision really. South westerly wind too. Would have been on.
Pitch inspection this morning a no brainer. Call it at 10.30.
Never mind
Loads have had it mate.
I was ill a few weeks ago, didn’t quite shake it off my chest and now it’s come back.
