D 0-0 vs Swindon Town (H) - League Two - Tue 14th March, 7:45pm

How quickly do they work?

Are they something that can defrost a pitch an hour before or does it take hours?

I would imagine nowadays (with new tech) its rather quick but clubs of our size would have to buy the cheaper less energy efficient ones, so yes can see it being rather expensive.

The other question is, how much have these postponed games cost us? Would the undersoil heating have paid for itself?

Something for Steff to look into and do the math.

Last thing we want is a big build up of games with our small squad and then injuries coming into play , less time between games to recover etc.

Inevitable now.

We have a Tuesday game every week until 21st Feb. Plus the Swindon game to fit in. And if by some chance we did beat Leicester that will be another game to be rearranged.

Crewe v Stockport off

Just a quick quiz to pass the time away if your bored now the games off.

I thought that too, but the 5th round is being played midweek so shouldn’t need any postponements. No replays either.

I didn’t know that. Can’t say I am a fan of that.

Half of the league 2 games off now

Bradford v Carlisle now off, least we called it early

And they had heat lamps on the pitch

I tried one on my shoulder once, it was crap

The list of " tinpot clubs" just gets longer.

Blackpool vs Huddersfield gone.

Thought they would have undersoil heating after being in Premier League - thought was a requirement.

Only had the one season. Maybe they give a time allowance like clubs promoted from the NL to L2 to get certain aspects of their grounds upto spec.

In walsall right now and I can’t believe they’ve called this game off. Everything has thawed. Shocking decision

Clear blue skies, sun is blazing and 2 degrees. And still 2 hours to kick off

Using it is another matter, reading comments, expensive as hell to use once installed. And with ‘sustainability’ being a major word these days, maybe this falls into the category of not being essential??

We could put a wind machine on each corner of the ground to generate our own hot air

The problem is the bottom corner near the away end that wouldn’t of thawed as it doesn’t get daylight before kick off
