D 2-2 vs Grimsby Town (A) – Wed 18th Feb, 7.45pm (League Two)

I understood that games originally scheduled for the Saturday could not be televised when rearranged. Our game is not listed on the ‘Games on TV’ site.

However, on the Sky fixtures list, it is showing as being live broadcast on Sky+.

My daughter is watching it on Sky+ I think. I will be at the Ash Wednesday service so I hope when I come out that our season hasn’t turned even more into ashes. I think we will win 1-0. It is too much to ask for the goalfests of previous years but it will do.

I suspect we’ll be as flat as a pancake.

If we were playing today we would be……

It wasn’t scheduled for a Saturday. It’s part of the same round of games otherwise taking place tonight.

Aaah. That explains it. I was confusing Grimsby with Salford, both of them being on FA Cup duty.

6-3 grimsby with Jonny Wilkinson with the drop goal winner

Not sure. Will terrible form spill over with a 10 day break?
Like most games this season I have no idea. Were not very good, they seem to be decent. We have slipped from 1st at christmas to 9th as we go into this.
Add into the mix that Sadz is under massive pressure - Id put my money on a drab 0-0 or a slender 0-1.

I was over for the first game. We got mugged by the ref disallowing a perfectly good equaliser.

Need a win, no fecking about. Having said that, it’ll likely be postponed.

I think I’d go for the box formation tomorrow night and the gameplan should be to get crosses into the box at every opportunity.

Wolves did it on Sunday and as soon as the ball got into the six yard box it caused them all sorts of problems with the ball sticking in the mud.

They also play four at the back and it’s a fact that we play better against teams that play with four defenders than teams that match us with a three.

We always seem to be really sh**e after a long break. The reverse should be opposite, but we always seem to buck that trend!?

All the times I can remember where we’ve had a long break between games, I’ve expected a performance after a period of rest and regrouping, only to watch us play rubbish and lose. I expect the same tomorrow night, unfortunately!!

Very worrying set of 3 fixtures, Grimsby almost certain defeat, MK will sneak a 1-0 and Shrews have suddenly found out how to play…someone from Salop should speak to our coaching staff and explain the idea?

Being realistic we need to improve and start showing pre Xmas form, otherwise it’s mid table, a new manager and lets try again ‘next’ season…………ad-infinitum….

UTS.

Well hopefully they have been training on water logged pitch to match state of Grimsby pitch….no way would they train on 5G pitch that loanees are not allowed on by parent club…would they?

Dont expect more than 1 point from 9 - hoping for 4 from 9… but this is Walsall and they will get 7 from 9….

Lumped on Walsall win @ Grimsby at 3/1.

Time to be positive …. UTS…

I love abit of positivity as people know but feel like Sadler is drowning in his own positivity, I feel that interview may be aimed at Trivela aswell as the fans last ditch attempt to get Trivela on board with Sadsball
