Shakespeare was terrible plagiarist. Doesn’t stop him being a brilliant writer. Do you watch Ben Elton’s “Upstart Crow.?” Addresses both sides of him.
Man City wanted to sell him so we had no choice in it
Paul Marston has his say on this piece - surely even those that were having a pop at my post asking what had changed can’t argue with this Walsall legend? Just the small, easily implementable changes that haven’t been made…a fabulous piece of writing by a man that knows our club inside out…
Fantastic write up by a guy who obviously knows walsall fc better than the powers that be over the last decade. Well done Daz
The overwhelming atmosphere around at the moment can be summed up in one phrase, ‘slow terminal decline into oblivion’.
The current ‘run of form’ is a sad papering over the cracks, not one of the games in the recent undefeated run could be considered as either entertaining, encouraging, or indeed satisfactory.
Clarke has unfortunately been allowed to continue at the helm with the happy clappers proclaiming that the January transfer window recruitment will save our dirge of a season.
Well, his summer ‘recruitments’ certainly didn’t give us much cause for celebration in the end did they?
I fear that if he is allowed to continue his tinkering ways into next season, we may well be in trouble when the Bury & Macclesfield situations have elapsed, resulting in two relegation spots being available for us to fill.
Port Vale, which was all three in bucketloads. But, never let reality get in the way of another jolly good moan! Just off to slit ma wrists.
I thought he was a left sided midfield player, but there you go,we live and learn…
You must have had a bucket load to drink after I’d seen you, because you didn’t look hammered enough in order to lose your powers of sight or reasoning at the time!
Entertaining? Not a chance. Two dull, uninventive teams playing dour football.
Encouraging? Hardly. One shot on target against an equally poor team?
Satisfactory? Okay, just about, We (just about) won the game.
Each to their own, I was thoroughly entertained by the game and very encouraged by the performance, bearing in mind the expectations of League Two football and obvious (mostly attacking) limitations of the team.
I didn’t rock up anticipating some gargantuan clash of football titans, pinging first time passes 50 yards across the pitch, but such moments have been very few and far between in my 40 years of following the club.
It’s Port Vale, in League Two. Cloth cut accordingly.
If that’s enough to float your boat fair enough.
I wasn’t exactly expecting us to re-create the Dutch inspired Total Football either,
Just wasn’t overly impressed by being “slightly less ■■■■■ than a ■■■■■ Port Vale team”.
So you were thoroughly encouraged then as we rolled over with a whimper as our solid defence let Exeter back into the game after going 3-0 up…you must have a very low entertainment threshold.
Each to his own, I was at least pleased that our previously shot shy strikers/forwards scored 2 goals in a game!
Back to reality on Wednesday, wonder how many changes to the team he makes THIS time?
You set the bizarre parameters, not me. I didn’t go to Exeter, but went to Vale upon which I’ve already commented.
The pantomime style devastation that you choose to share with everyone owes more to attention seeking than it does any meaningful discourse. No wonder I was pleased as reading your input you’d think they couldn’t ever string a two-yard pass together. It is the season for panto, but still … If it’s that bad why not just follow WWF wrestling and have all of your expectations fulfilled. ?
