I agree regarding the result, but this late into preseason I’d expect to see more than we have regarding the performance. The next two weeks will be very telling, dependant on who we sign.

Maybe the club knew we couldn’t get anyone decent uptop to sign for us or couldn’t afford to sign a league 2 striker ?

I didn’t watch it but didn’t we play pretty well against Blues? We know we are toothless up front and th hierarchy know it as well.
Friendly or no friendly , saddler should be starting to get a tune out of this lot by now , they are not interested, don’t look like they have trained together, no punch up front either .

We are in preseason , Our players are not fit , our players are not yet drilled into saddlers tactics and don’t know eachother
They have been allowed to have a holiday to Ireland due to hard work and your expecting a performance after team bonding down the pub and beach all day?
Drogheda are midway through a season. - they are super fit , organised and know each others strength and weaknesses.

The strike force they finished with looked a class above the strike force we started with . That’s the difference between a top Irish team and a 4th Division English team
When they went to there first choice strikers we could not cope and there class shone
Disappointed not to see a penalty shootout for the cup…
But they’ll run around a lot, that’s what he wants, not putting the ball in the back of the net

Played better than we did tonight. Can only judge on what I’m watching though. The blues game has passed and to say we played well against blues has no significance on tonight’s performance.
The club and management team know we need strikers - this much is evident. But as I said, the next few weeks will be telling.

Ours just said its great for alot of players to be getting 90 minutes of football, despite only three out of twenty players playing the full 90 minutes
