Apologies if we’ve done this before but sitting there yesterday 1st half freezing and getting wet via the leaking roof in the upper , I was wondering why we don’t have the led advertising boards around the perimeter of the pitch ? Surely they would bring in extra income after initial outlay
Unless they are replacements for the advertising on the walls, I don’t think there would be space for em would there???
I hate them. A total distraction from whats happening on the pitch.
If we had them the lower tier wouldnt be able to see the goal line.
They are terrible. Especially at smaller tight grounds like ours. I know some clubs have sacrificed the first few rows to accommodate these though.
Not enough space & the concrete wall would need explosives to get rid of it.
If Harry can’t knock it down, god knows if dynamite would be enough…
Though I’ve seen them at other L2 grounds, it wouldn’t work at our stadium. The fans (especially in the first couple of rows) are very close to the pitch and can almost touch the players.
I can’t see it as anything but a distraction to the fans and players.
Too many wires to worry about then for them all important 90th minute, pitch encroaching, winners. The club would never deprive us of that.
Think of the revenue though and it would bring us up to date with most other clubs surely we need to keep up ,
Not sure about structural integrity/weight issues etc but could they potentially go around the roofline???
Hate them
Aren’t they only in place when a game is on the telly - at any club?
Really
I can’t believe any football supporter would advocate for those dreadful things.
For all the above comments for and against I’m pretty sure this is something that Trivella have looked at and if it’s viable and financially worthwhile they will have it installed
Personally not bothered either way .
Would rather the roof got fixed in the upper tier first.
Would a be great investment for advertisers at Walsall to be displayed for a minute and half on the highlight show.
Would rather they invested more in the pitch and purchase more or those UV lights to help the grass grow all year round. Our pitch didn’t seem quite right at the start of pre-season. A little thin, wonder if we can buy more of these. I think we only have one…
When not in use for the pitch, we could set up a salon for all the orange sun worshippers and call it Tantastic or something. Kerching!
Or grow other commercially profitable plants to sell in the local area
