They aren’t being sent out this year, you will have to pick them up. Although the e-mail the Club sent did say they were being sent out. That was incorrect.
Is this the same for Members’ stuff also?
Yes, Loot boxes are for members and season ticket holders. Having picked mine up last week, I can see why they’re not posting them out. It would cost thousands.
On the subject of the ticket office the two ladies there are so helpful. I’ve always found them very pleasant.
Thanks. I suspected as much, just haven’t received any info regards this from the club. With the caveat that maybe I have and have lazily only read half or less of any relevant emails.
Does the pack include a ST card? It’d be handy for an old codger like me for various reasons
My expectations are very low unfortunately.
Yes. Assuming you’ve bought a season ticket!
……… have dropped substantially in recent weeks.
I find it best not to have any expectations and hope to be pleasantly surprised. I do think some on here are in danger of attributing more importance to football than it’s place in the great scheme of things, can’t be good for their mental wellbeing.
I have followed Walsall off and on since a 0-2 1st Round FA Cup defeat in 1964 so feel I have some perspective on things by now. As I’ve said before we fell a long way behind, so it’s a steep and wearying route back even into League 1, let alone surviving there.
We have I think to take our owners at face value. Off field matters have gone as they indicated by and large to general satisfaction. In respect of on field matters we were only promised incremental progress, so it seems a bit off message to berate the club for going about things that way, much as we’d all like them to splash the cash on two forwards for example.
Making a rod for your own back by wailing about the issue of squad additions is self defeating: it neither influences events nor does the individual any lasting good.
Tried everything to get my wife to talk us out of going to the game next week but she’s having none of it, infact there’s almost a hint of faux enthusiasm.
So not only have we got to go, but it looks as though there’s some expensive D.I.Y. project looming that she hasn’t told me about yet.
@Blazing_Saddler i truly understand the sentiment of your post and concur.
The only thing needs considering is that we are in Division 4. We are in the midst of (football wise) the lowest ebb in our history.
Factor in we went backwards defensively last season. Factor in other than the post Xmas purple patch we were relegation contenders. We don’t value traits of teams that get promoted. Possession / Clean Sheets / Goals in any degree.
Ask Rochdale, Ask any of the others that trap door to non league is there and real.
We need to get out this division. No problem boozing and dancing with players then. They can badge kiss and hug fans all they want.
But get us out of Division 4 before future generations are making their memories at places like Woking .
Not saying they sat there all night sipping orange juice but just to be clear, I’ll say it again, the Players were not Plastered, Hammered or “on the pop”. They were having a good time, singing and dancing and interacting with fans in a very positive way.
Tbf as long as they turn up and perform I couldn’t care less, but as it stands that’s not the case.
Glad they had fun though
Opinion only.
Again opinion.
This however is simply not true.
Wasn’t our actual best run Dec9 to New Year and then February to March with January being ok?
And Relegation contenders? Delusional, we were in no danger all season, despire being “16th In League 2!” as some would have it.
@JoaquinErnesto if I’m wrong please point out a worse period in the 4 division format of the football league. If this isn’t the case I’ll hold my hands up as being wrong and wait till the end of the season for that !
We conceded more goals last season than the season before. I also believe that it was our worst defensive season since Hutchings. That’s fact, not opinion. I’d say that qualifies as a fact !
I think it was worse in the 50s but ain’t quite old enough to confirm that. The early 90s were grim as there was a genuine feeling that we might fold.
If we don’t challenge for the playoffs next year though, that will be poor.
I certainly felt a lot worse about the state of our football club in the early 90’s.
I remember being at a game at Halifax, which we lost 5-2, their keeper went off injured, only one substitute allowed back then and if I remember correctly they were down to 10 men for about 40 minutes, with an outfield player in goal.
We had just sold our best player, Stuart Rimmer, and were rumoured to be very close to going out of business.
The team were dire, didn’t seem to be any other player we could sell, no decent youngsters coming through.
That was the lowest point in my time of supporting Walsall
And mine. Now it’s just boring
And mine…desperate times. I am though very disappointed by the inability to sign quality forwards to help us this season. The financial position must be very sound and I think BB will owe us an explanation if nothing game changing happens between now and the end of August.
Agree on that.
I am very disappointed about the lack of forwards we currently have.
Signings need to be made. Soon.
