I always think Bristol Rovers are massive underachievers. O.k not expecting them to be challenging for the prem like their neighbours but they should be a solid league 1 team pushing to get into the championship rather than yo yo ing between leagues 1 and 2.
Guess stuck permanently at the Memorial ground has negated that as I’m sure they’d get 10-15k crowds at a new ground and could have similar trajectory to Rotherham over last 15 years.
DC will probably go there and do what he’s done at pretty much everyone bar this club. Get a promotion quickly, just about keep them up and then will get sacked with 1 win in 10 start of the next season. Rinse and repeat at this stage of his managerial career as Barnsley was probably the best chance he was going to get to manage in the championship and I’m afraid the results there were pretty poor.

Didn’t realise it was a 3 year contract he has just signed there, seems a tad long to me, personally 1 yr with the option of an extension if things go well
