Let’s hope the powers that be take a look at this thread before they sign anything then
His record at League One/Two level doesnt look that bad!
108 games (I assume a fair number are from the bench), 22 goals according to wiki.
Not prolific, but not awful.
People picking at his stats are a being a bit harsh IMO. The lads regularly been played on the wing and right back for various teams as well.
I don’t think it’s a terrible signing. Tbh I’m just happy to stay up. That’s the extent of my ambition
That’s his stats.
It’s just that I get so frustrated sometimes , I love Walsall I really do but a little bit of ambition after all the promises pomlett has made wouldn’t hurt.
He doesn’t look like an ambitious signing more like 5th-6th choice if we do sign him
Of course I’ll back him if we get him but come on just once I’d like us to sign someone we know will be good
Hardly prolific
His record is the record of anybody we can sign,do you think we are going to sign a striker who scores 25 goals a season ? If you do you are deluded I don’t think Walsall has ever signed a proven prolific goalscorer for the last 50 year’s we’ve sold a few though
A loan though?
We said the same about Andy Rammel .
Is this where we say … give him chance?
Nothing to say this will happen anyway. He will probably go somewhere else!
Probably port vale then everyone Will be moaning we didn’t sign him
I think I should qualify my earlier comments.
Would Miller be a good signing for the future? I’d say yes.
Would Miller be a good signing to solve the problem we have right now ?
Absolutely not.
And there lies my problem. I think he would be a good signing if…. There’s another actual centre forward on the way.
He could be a vegetarian and thereby unattracted to the pork scratchings written into the contract
I heard the same about Rory Gaffney.
Its not Miller I have the issue with. He just isnt the type of player we need. IMO we are crying out for a target man who can hold the ball up and who can chip in with a few himself. That will allow the likes of Wilkinson, Kiernan, Earing, Holden (If he ever gets fit) to score more goals
Yep, this.
Nothing against the kid personally but we need experience. We’re suppose to be head and shoulders above other clubs the way we’ve conducted ourselves ( pomlett words). we shouldn’t need to give someone a chance we should be signing someone who’s been there and done it. If he’s our only signing then we really are a bang average league 2 club these days at best
That’s the crux of the issue. Don’t know why we can’t get in that Hudlin.
