Why are people so surprised about dj? He didn’t even make the bench last game. Levi on the other hand came on, done alright and took his goal well at Bromley.

Charlton are local rivals to Gillingham so Assimwe may get some stick of the crowd.

With 5 subs that can come on, I see the logic in starting with Uncs. Tactically, he will see where the gaps are and Levi and/or DJ can reap the benefits in the second half.
We also have the weapon of Harry Williams’ long throws again so Jamma will be crucial today.
It’s a good point but Sadler doesn’t tend to reward players.
This is the 8th league match in which Sadler has started Adomah as a striker.
He has come on as a striker in over 20 other league matches.
This is not an experiment, or an emergency. Sadler really believes it is a successful use of his resources. He clearly sees something that most of us do not.
