Gillingham (H) Tuesday 11th Feb, 7.45pm

We’ve got this - simple as Ketchup on your Sausage Roll

A fixture that looks more difficult every time I look at it. For me it’s not an absolute must win but definitely a must not lose. Gillingham are a capable L2 side with a sprinkling of quality so we will have to be at or near our best to get maximum points and they will be hell bent on putting right their last trip to Bescot. John Coleman will no doubt have them straining at a leash to get at us.

Bitterly disappointed in the take up for the quite superb ‘tenner tuesday’ offer, really thought these would sell like hot cakes, but the take up has been lukewarm at best, really not sure what else the club can do to entice the missing fans back.

Not sure that they’ve ever been there in great numbers really. This is the opportunity to get new, hopefully younger fans through the door. Thought this offer would bring a few neutrals and pick and choosers along more than anything.

Exactly that, there aren’t really any missing fans as such.

Tuesday night, when it is going to be really cold, not going to entice too many newcomers, if we get over 6500 with hardly any away support, that is decent. If it were on a Saturday we may have got close to 7500 possibly.

Hope walsall can Nicklus a win on Tuesday

Pushing 6k i reckon tomorrow. Not much else the club can do. It’s a shame it’s coincided with our poor run of form too. Wonder if they’ll try it again in the coming weeks on a Saturday if we’re still in the Top 3?

I’ll be there as will the rest of the group (we meet at the ground). I wouldn’t miss a game regardless of our form or the weather but that’s just me.
Everyone has a choice and that’s mine.

If watching Walsall relied on us winning games and the sun shining, you wouldn’t go to many matches and have plenty of free time!:rofl:

Is that the score or your age? :older_man:

No looking forward to this. Think the lads are quickly falling into the loser mentality again. Close defeat. 0.1 to Gills

I’m nagging everyone. The neighbours disappointingly disinterested.

Few more have gone today I’m glad to say. NM4 sold out. Don’t know what they’ve got that NM3 doesn’t.

It is possible a few may decide on the night, with no price increase for buying on the matchday, or maybe that is wishful thinking.

Very nervous about this fixture. I think the result will go someway to deciding if we’ve just hit a bump in the road - or if the wheels have well and truly come off the bus!

In the previous few seasons we’ve struggled against opposition teams on a bad run, or down at the bottom of the table, and I’m really concerned that we’re about to see a Dutton-esque capitulation.

Didn’t want to be a spoil sport at the time, but the pitch side announcer declaring how many points clear we were after each home game at the turn of the year was just asking for trouble.

Pressure mounting for 3 points tomorrow

We need a convincing win to regain shattered confidence of the players and supporters

7-0 win would do the trick . Lump on lads and lasses

I know the recent performances haven’t been great, however we have lost three away games on poor pitches. Our promotion will be decided by our HOME form
19th placed Gillingham
10th placed Chesterfield
15th place Swindon
9th placed Grimsby
5th placed Wimbledon
6th placed Vale
21st placed Harrogate
20th placed Accrington
24 points up for grabs win them all gives us 83points we go up despite losing every away between now and Crewe
Win half gives us 15points 74 points could well confirm play offs
Our away form will decide if we are able to be champions we still have to visit the bottom two as well.
I know opposition form our form a bit of luck and a few twists and turns will happen but as it stands it’s in our own hands keep the faith

Not surprised sales are a bit crap, should’ve been the Saturday game or have two games for 20 quid so we maximise both.

Unless it’s a major fixture we just won’t get the crowd in mid week, anything over 6,500 is decent (unfortunately)

Slightly terrified by the ‘win half - enter playoffs’ option! That would be a disaster.

Strange one to pick for the offer for me as you say , I don’t think it’s gonna make much of a difference on a week night game.

The Colchester game was a genuine kick up the jacksy hope the players can respond I have faith they will.

We simply have to start the game well.

3 1 win…
