Ben Sadler has just replied to a question on the matter on Twitter and said that ‘the deadline for requesting a postponement is close of play tomorrow. At this time, we’ve not made a request to do so’. He goes on to say it will be confirmed on Sunday.
Make of that what you will.
I reckon the fear of the gap to 4th being next to nothing by the time we play Wimbledon , if the Gills game is called off , means they would rather play with a depleted squad . I reckon Hornby was blooded now as they know he will play next week

If it does go ahead, the call-ups, suspension, and injuries would probably dictate our line up as:
Hornby for Simkin
Back 3 of McEntee, Williams and Allen/Weir (with the other replacing Gordon), and either Asiimwe or Adomah starting for Barrett (swapping for the last 20-30 minues).
Stirk, Jellis and Lakin in midfield
Jamma and Levi up front
Bench of George Barrett, Chang, Wheatley, Asiimwe or Adomah, DJ (if over his bug), and Harrison (if his knock wasn’t too bad - any news?) + 1, 2 or possibly even 3 kids (is Dylan Thomas fit and still in the building?)
Back end of March was the prediction for George Hall’s return - is next Saturday still too soon?
Given how we were all purring about our strength in depth earlier in the season, it looks decidedly thin now so it wouldn’t be a surprise to me if we did invoke a rearrangement.
I have a feeling Sadler wants to play it on the day to avoid more fixture congestion, might be why he gave Hornby a game yesterday to be fair.
Might be the game we finally see some loanees

Surely it makes more sense to postpone until we have everyone available again. When the game is rearranged we could have Hall, Priestley and DD in the squad. It’s a no brainer in my view.

If we play next week and lose, Sadler will get some serious stick. It just isn’t worth the risk.

Correct, I’m staggered they would even consider playing it. Given how reluctant Sadler has been to change the team, this smacks of desperate thinking.

Perhaps he wants to play it .we usually do well when he is forced into changes .we often do well then .so I’m not at all concerned.

I would be inclined to agree but we are woeful on Tuesday nights.
Thought Comley was also being called up and Browne going out on loan?
It’s actually Montserrat that don’t play until June, thought it was Guyana earlier.
Maybe they hold off loaning Browne out until the week after.

I think that could be right. The only date available for the game if it is postponed is the last Tuesday of the season. I can see why MS would not want it played then. I think we will play it . DD will also be available for selection.in addition to those mentioned above by ANDY TAYLOR.

The starting 11 wont be much difference and i expect they wont want barratt missing both wimbledon and doncaster games
Please can someone explain why folk think that DD and George Hall returning in the near future will greatly improve us ? Can’t remember the last appearance of DD and who it was against but I do remember how slow and indecisive his movement and thought process was ! He won’t be anywhere near match fitness and would need virtually all the remaining games to achieve that level required, I personally would only use him out of complete necessity as for Hall he will need the same amount of game time to get up to speed, he may return to us in the same frame of mind as before where I felt he avoided contact where possible and was mainly on the fringe of things, I often forgot he was playing ! He has suffered career threatening injuries and for me that reflects in his approach to games, I wish him well but I don’t believe he will be a knight in shining armour, hope to be proved wrong as usual.
