Lovely day yesterday. Hot dog was banging - put the one I had the evening before in the Brum German Market to shame.
Conditions were farcical, but we dealt with it better than they did. They didn’t really have much idea other than pump it long and hope the wind assists March in getting through. Silly red card from him, who lost his head after 5 minutes after the first bit of stick from the away fans - muppet.
Good performances all over the pitch - could of and should’ve been more, not really sure how we conspired to only score two.
Special mention to Simkin - who I have been quite critical of so far this season, but I have to give him hugs props for how he dealt with the conditions and also for a massive save at the end to keep the clean sheet. Would have been very easy to have been switched off there after that performance and how uncomfortable the weather was. Two big reaction saves in the past two games, big from him.
Thank you Semaj for sharing. Another set of atrocious conditions and we still manage a win and clean sheet, as many have said, this team is so special…
Absolutely loved it yesterday with my two kids whilst my wife stayed in town looking after our Westie.
We were on the far right of the stand second half and I’ve never laughed so much at a football match. The Belshaw chants/songs were genius and he took it really well to be honest. I woke up in Harrogate this morning hearing my eldest singing “we love you Belshaw, we do” and my youngest asked “so when are we signing Belshaw?”
Pity we have to postpone Saturday games for these International weekends. Criowds are suffering. Total for the season is probably down 2 to 3 k already.
True. As well as the reduction from playing the rearranged games on a Tuesday, I’m pretty sure that given our current position, there would be a few of our neighbours’ fans coming down for a look during these weekends.
“We should be targeting the fans of the other clubs around us, higher and lower. Maybe some kind of three match reduced price deal, for when their teams are playing away, and we’re at home.”
