I’m there now - weather’s a bit naff - but at least I missed that shite today!
I still think a win on Monday and we’ll go up.
Any manager, or even a fan that won the raffle to be manager for the day, should be capable of sending a team out from our resources to beat Newport.
Unfortunately we’ve got Mat Sadler.
Just give Matt a rest, pick Harrison and Amantchi or DJ up front, and a midfield or whatever arrangement involving Hall, Chang and Adomah. Put Liam Gordon on an intensive, borderline hypnotherapy clearing your lines training course for 48 hours, and pick Asiimwe and tell him to do what he did for the last 10 minutes (must have been at least 5 or 6 dangerous crosses) for the whole game.
Sadler can go and have a kick-about with his favourites on Rodney Parade car-park so they don’t feel left out.
It’s absolutely criminal. Flogged Jellis and Stirk into oblivion and not used Chang who is probably the best 6 or 8 at the club. Sadlers is too scared to make the big decisions in game and with team selections.
As much as Harrogate play as ‘long’ as anyone in the League there is much more purpose and variation when they do it; March, for one being very adept at playing that game, especially on the break
Thought Chang was excellent, both his distribution and positioning.
I agree, some of these players could easily adapt to a different style of football, in fact they would likely benefit.
Credit to the subs today, given 12 minutes in a toxic situation and they did what they could do to get us out the situation Sadler had created. I thought Adomah was brilliant, the only player to carry the ball. Asiimwe was also excellent, players who are comfortable with the ball under pressure, who’d have thought it.
Agreed. Asimwe, Chamg, Hall, Amanchi have to start and Matt and Jellis have to drop to the bench.
I think I need to get p1ssed tonight after that…. Utter garbage
which block do you sit in?
Agreed but no mention of Barrett, Williams and Allen who were massive contribution to the goals and lost possession!
Things Mat Sadler should say in his interview, but won’t. ( Number 45.)
Spot on with that but I know its not in Shropshire When I bought the tickets I thought it could be the match to seal promotion. What a fool!
I haven’t drank for a good month or so, I’m already 3 pints in after that. Can’t wait for season to be over.
…nor on the Isle of Wight.
If we get Colchester in the play off’s it’s game over for yet another season that could have gone so well if Trivela had grown a pair and got rid of Mr. Stubborn earlier.
What that guy has done so brilliantly to the U’s is undeniable. If only we could have replaced Sadders with him we would have had a record points tally, AND made better loan deals!
Glory Hunter!
Adomah was class when we he came on. Who’d have thought a bloke with 700 games as a winger is quite good in that position. We’ve got to try something different, because the 5-3-2 has well and truly run it’s course.
There was a hilarious moment in the game when the ball was hoofed up to Mat and there wasn’t a defender within 15 feet of him .But he was that busy looking for a defender to foul he completely took his eye of the ball and missed it .sums him up I’m afraid.
going to be unpopular on here today but i don’t think it was MS fault - he picked the perfect 11 and the players did not turn up for it.
Spot on…but after 67 years I deserve a bit of that.
