More like Nosmo King…

Sadler certainly gives most people on here the hump, anyway…

I know quite a few of those posters! Apart from being almost permanently ‘retired’ from life itself, it was these ‘vultures’ constantly swooping in to ‘feed’ off the carcass of an already mindlessly attacked soul, that persuaded me to cease posting until now, however with a little gentle nudge from Jeylar I began to re-post after yesterdays debacle.
Last match I got to attend was Bradford, and thought to myself this lot are going to run away with our league (despite the fact that they too have become prone to disjointed performances)
After witnessing our poor performance, (what is it with that kid Wheatley! completely out of his comfort zone in a mans game, why on earth were so many clubs after his signature?), I somehow knew the season would come tumbling around our ears…and of course with stubborn Sadler in charge, it has!

Bravo👏🏻 D’ye ken John Peel

Good to see you back @Worsul4eva! I don’t always agree with you but Im with you on this! Keep posting your always good value!

So do I, there is a certain someone on Facebook who is being particularly and unfairly critical towards our fans. He’s completely lost the plot.

I can guess who that is. Don’t rise to the bait.

This is not the fans’ fault.

I can hazard a guess too.

This is down to the players - it’s not Sadler’s fault - they aren’t coached to do that! A lot of the last 18 games is the fault of Sadler and his coaching team, but the players have to shoulder some of the blame, as do Ben Sadler and the board - the standard of recruitment in January was nowhere near good enough. Harrison looks very average, Levi has got potential but is not the finished article we needed. Wheatley is not ready for men’s football, neither is Lipsuic. Only Asiimwe and Chang are at, or above, the standard of our existing players! So yes, Mat Sadler has made mistakes, but he deserves some credit for getting us this close to promotion. And BTW: I don’t think he is arrogant, if anything, he is too nice.

Are you going to Newport on Monday? If so: wear the fox hat? Is it Wales, Shropshire or the IoW?

How do you know that? He has never had the chance to show what he can in League Two, although he has done well playing international U21 football for Ireland.

Do you think that Sadler’s judgement is so good that if he does not pick a player, the player cannot be worth his place in the team? There seems to be quite a lot of evidence that this is not true.

A well balanced post. MS has clearly made some mistakes over the past few months but he is not alone in that. I accept that if we were not so close to the top he would have gone with the record over the past 18 games but we are close to the top and it is now to late to change anything.
I also don’t get this “ arrogant “ stuff. He is just the opposite to that in my view. He never blames the players when it must be tempting to do so and rarely criticises officials.

He just never ever blames himself.

Tbf to Sadler he’s always been we’re in it together. Win together , lose together and you can’t fault that approach’. He’s gonna carry on until he’s told otherwise. This is now on trivela. People keep saying it’s too late but it isn’t. Sacking him if we don’t win at Newport still gives us time to bring someone in and settle in ready for the play off games. I have it on good account that Sadler and Johnson had words on Saturday and it’s very unlikely we will see him in the squad again.

You rarely hear a manager of any sort make an admission of fault. A lot think it would undermine their position. Actually I never minded saying I got something wrong and if MS did say that I think it would strengthen his position.

My youngest lad said that about getting a manager in now so we have a chance in the play-offs. He’s 12, but he understands the game remarkably well for someone so young. He has now accepted we won’t go straight up, poor kid.

I feel so bad for him and my oldest. We were planning promotion party’s and all sorts not so long back. I feel bad for doing that, but I really thought this was their time.

Sadler should have gone after the gutless performance at Barrow, and in honesty, questions should have been asked much sooner, far before we got two wins in 18 and no win it what 10 or 11 games, I have lost count.

I think the board, thought that promotion was a forgone conclusion, and apart from Draper though they could just pad out the squad, and then budget higher in the close season for the EFL 1 season. Its backfired beyond all of our imaginations. The joyless push for promotion continues for the time being, but its a really tough watch. George, Nathan and Alfie must start the final 3, Big Dave out of the squad for me.

I thought Dave was alright but after Saturday performance him, Gordon and jellis wouldn’t play again this season if I was manager.

I know the feeling mate. Like you it’s really made me depressed/ill. I’ve got my kid on at me today cause he wants to go to Newport and I’ve told him I ain’t going. I’ve told him I won’t be going again until Sadler gone if we don’t go up. Like yourself this failure this season will take some getting over. if we win at Newport I will go to the Accrington game but I ain’t wasting anymore time this bank holiday weekend watching us hoof it to Matt.

We (as fans) are obviously seeing things Sadler refuses to see. He’s right all the time which will lead to our downfall.
Sacking him now is pointless imho, doing it at the end of the season when Trivela have more candidates to select from. They are not going to get rid of MS alone, his whole backroom staff (including O’Kelly) should also be removed…start with a clean slate whichever division we are in.
There’s plenty of blame to go around, it doesn’t begin at Mat Sadler’s door either. The first one I would blame is the bloke at Stoke (not Robbins) for not allowing Lowe to extend his stay with us, had he, we would have won the league six weeks ago.
Yes, we had a Plan B but it failed when we didn’t secure Draper’s signature, then there was no plan after that…really bad management on all sides.
I’ve got a lot of time for Trivela, they should have recognized the decline and put a stop to it. Having said that, no-one would have imagined how quickly we fell…and are still falling…until it’s too late.
We’ve had chance after chance to turn this around but have failed to react to it, Remarkably, we STILL have a chance of automatic promotion, we just have to WIN a couple of football games. Not difficult is it? It is if MS insists on playing the same, boring hoof ball that belongs two or three leagues below.
Our defenders and midfielders seem incapable of passing the ball on the ground to each other, the very basics of football, we as a team have totally forgotten how to do. That’s what Sadlers has to do if we’re to rescue our season. Forget the continuity and get down to basics and play winning football. We have the players…good players who are more than capable of getting the job done.
Is Sadlers going to play them…
