John Harris R.I.P

News today of the death of this classy left back who played or us in the sixties. He played in the classic cup win at Stoke in 1965. Thanks John and rest in peace.

I remember him well. He came from the Wolves, although he only played 3 times for them, suffering a bad injury. As I recall, he was made captain and played over 4 seasons with about 80 appearances. He was indeed a classy defender but, as with so many players of that era, his league career ended when he was 30 and he went to play for Rushall.

It is always a sad day when any Saddler dies. Thank you John.

Sad news indeed, I saw him play many times for Walsall in that period. R. I.P John.
