I probably shouldn’t post after another disappointing result cos it always feels worse but this team is so frustrating they are starting to piss me off. They shouldn’t be really cos they just aren’t good enough that is the truth I think.
Mazza made a good point as he often does about starting the season without a recognised striker. It hardly looks like a club that are going to have a “right go at it” I honestly think we signed Wilkinson to play upfront and quickly realised it wasn’t going to work. We now have one striker, fair enough he didn’t start tonight but he is running himself into the ground every game and we have no options as such to change it. I think back to Fullarton’s comments about there being plenty of “George Miller’s” out there and we have players lined up if any leave. If that is the case do some business in the transfer window players in and out if needed. Any team can still make the play offs if they have a good run but this team after almost half a season without winning back to back games clearly can’t as it stands.
It is a pretty big game on Saturday now I think, a decent day out in the 3rd round of the cup may be as good as it gets this season. I don’t think now is a time for getting on Taylor’s back, the jury is still out but he deserves time. We have had enough managers come in and fail miserably, there is clearly a bigger picture to look at.

You are right mate all let themselves down tonight forwards can’t convert not even unchallenged from 12 yards and defensively mistakes a plenty they are all frustrating me now and I’ve been frustrated with players in the past especially DC’s bunch but this time I’m frustrated in a different way can’t quite explain what I mean but I am not angrily frustrated if that makes sense.

Disappointed tonight and slight doubts about our loveable manager are starting to creep in . Big big January coming up for Pomlett, Fullerton and Taylor. It was always going to be a couple of transfer windows . The second being to see exactly what else we need . Get this wrong though and not have a real go as poms puts it could well well result in a deflated fan base and sub 3k crowds next year and non league staring us in the face . January is that important!!!

What is a greater concern for me is that this season we had a new manager marketing campaign to sell season tickets. We won’t have that next year so Pomlett will rollout the we are going to give it a good go campaign. Unfortunately for him he is beginning to sound more and more like the boy who cried wolf and it won’t cut through anymore.
January is massive.

Nope. Exactly the same as Clarke.
True in terms of results but Clarke had a better squad. Championship striker plus two others, a fit Rory Holden, Jules probably an upgrade on Mayo (but both good), Nurse a better left back than Ward, McDonald an upgrade on Kiernan. Also had much more depth to play with, which is crippling this side.
In terms of system and style, not that defined but way more defined than Clarke with an actual settled formation.
