L 2-1 vs Accrington Stanley (A) - League Two - Sat 23rd Dec, 3pm

Well happy for the loyal fans

At the moment this ref has been the best i have seen which makes a HUGE difference

I’ll take any goal so thank god for that.

But that was a really really poor half of football.

Are McEntee and Comley on the pitch?

It’s still a draw and it’s still possible to win it, but tbh, tactical plan was thrown out of the window.

Not the best half, but great to be level. Looks vile there.

Truly awful. As wet and windy as it looks.

Give it a rest mate. Every week

McEntee working his nuts off as usual.

A certain poster who’s been posting like mad when we were behind seems to have disappeared as usual :joy:

He’s been abysmal that half. As has Comley, Stirk and most of the team.

Shocking midfield performance.

We’re lucky to be level. Accrington are average but our defending has been terrible. Freddie has been our best player.

DD has had a shocker and then goes and wins a pen. I can’t remember the last pen we had in the league? I remember DJ missing one in the pizza cup. .

Poor. But level. Somehow…

I’d take a point and leg it right now. They have the ā€œbreezeā€ second half and I suspect will load heavy ball into our box.

Fair play to those who have travelled a lot further than me for this.

I hope this is a Notts County type performance where we poor first half and then somehow found a way to play…

But what I don’t like is the drastic change each week from an attractive possession based style last week … to hoof ball this week.

What is our identity ?

Play ground kick and rush, and hope to get a pelanty to please WalsallOne!

Very tough conditions for both sides. The pitch is better than I thought it would be so no complaints about that.
There was no chance to play attractive football in the rainy, blustery Lancashire weather.
I thought Daniels was at fault for their goal, he overran his man then had to play catch up but was too late to prevent the shot that Smith parried weakly away to Leigh who easily tucked it into the net.
Draper put away the penalty nicely to level the score.
I feel we can get at them in the 2nd half and bring home 3 points.

Aren’t you pleased too?

Yes. Surprising it needs to be pointed out, but you are spot on.
