Why are Mole and Gamble still employed at this football club? Parasites
The club is a fecking shambles. Got to the turnstiles at 2.45 as usual. Usually walk straight in. Today, with new fangled e tickets had a long queue. Then had to queue again to be scanned again to get to upper tiers. Heard stories about massive queues to be served, card system.going down, only exact change being accepted at food/drink outlets, running out of lager pre game.
Heads need to roll if this is the offering after 18 months planning.
Then there was the “football”…
Today ha s disappointed me more than anything in the last 10 years with regard off-the-field stuff
They’ve literally had 18 months to make the stadium fan-friendly, clean, and welcoming - and have somehow contrived to make it worse
This was the perfect opportunity to reset the match day experience. It was pathetic.
Funny thing about that mate, was if you had walked to the far end of the stand there was no scanning of tickets to go into the top tier
I did notice that , hilarious
And you call yourself a caring father😂 buy him a man city top
Everywhere you turned today there were queues - shop, get in, bar, kiosks.
This cashless malarkey is just bollocks - I wanted a £1 bag of scratchings for God’s sake!!
The main thing to come from today (on the pitch anyway) is that Osadebe can’t play in a midfield two. He’s a liability on the ball deep in our own half and isn’t disciplined enough to be trusted to hold his position. I thought Labadie had a good game considering he was covering two players work in the first half for the most part. Depending on who the opposition, Kinsella or Perry need to be his partner.
I’m all for playing out from the back but only of we have the players capable of doing it. Taylor isn’t too bad, but Monthe isn’t comfortable on the ball at all.
We need to work out what we are doing from our own goal kicks too. The back four try and set up to receive it short, but we don’t get in shape quick enough. That’s fine if everyone then pushed up the pitch but the back four don’t. They sit on the edge of our own box and when the ball comes back from the long kick we’re automatically pushed right back.
Today will come as a wake up call I’m sure, and it’s no bad thing that we’ve had our arses handed to us this early in the season. I just hope these things, amongst others are addressed off the back of it, otherwise it’s going to be a long old season.
but it should be swift and quick. why is it not?
ridiculous, no ones in charge by the looks of it.
Tbh I couldn’t give a toss about queues/ pigeon shite on seats or poor match day operations.
All I wanted today was an inspiring performance on the pitch and 3 points.
Any other club you just quickly scan your ticket and in your go. At Walsall there are turnstile operators desperately trying (and failing) to scan tickets. They try one way and then the other. They try going closer and then further away before the bloody thing beeps it’s acceptance.
Only Walsall could1 make progress worse than what was there before.
Because it’s being implemented in a half arsed way.
You should be able to scan through the turnstiles without someone being there trying to scan. With a hand held scanner.
And why are we scanning tickets again to get in the upper tier? The lower has their own bar now so don’t let other stands in the stadium suite.
What is too early to judge?
Will never forget what a high level coach I used to play for once said to our group - ‘a kid 18/19, I will cut slack, 21 plus - I expect you to perform, no excuses’.
Osadebe is 24. He should be performing week in week out at this level considering the role he plays within the team.
Call me greedy but I think it’s possible to expect both?
I’m sure there was someone on here that works in an industry that uses scanners and cashless payment systems that attended the friendly games and pointed out that the machines being used were already out of date?
What worries me is that Pomlett wants us to be a club with 6/7/8000 home fans, but we can’t even accommodate for 4000
The queues from the community hub, in the lower, were tailing back into the lower blocks, thus obstructing the view (probably for the best) for those in the front few rows. This prompted some angry supporter exchanges. Stewards, seeing confrontation, ran for cover. Shit hole of a Circus!!! Thank god work prevents regular attendance
Yeah imagine going for a day out to what should be a professional event environment and have to queue up to get in, queue up to get a drink which takes a good 45 minutes only to find out there’s no beer left, to then walk to your seat going up stairs caked in bird crap to then sit down on your seat which is covered in muck.
Sounds great doesn’t it?
Wonder if Dan, Steph and Leigh had shit on their seats.
Totally agree with you Saddler Steve however if we had won 4-0 today I don’t think there would have been too many complaints about the lack of balti pies.
Ultimately it comes down to the product we are all there to see. Sadly we look like a national league team in waiting.
Congratulations to our first ever ‘ director of football’ for assembling a worse team than Jimmy Mullen.
We’ve played 2 games out of 46
