They don’t half love a dive Northampton.
Lamp it over them and up to a target man striker who wins infuriatingly little when in a challenge. Never seems to come out with the ball and just ends up back with the opposition.

In think what it is jt sadler had installed a do not lose mentality so instead of taking a slight risk as a cb and trying to control the ball it’s ‘ do not take risk under any pressure ‘ and whack . The midfielders don’t stand a chance and the cbs have been conditioned to be cowards under pressure

Added a bit there! Totally agree. We have such little ability to work up the pitch as a team it seems. Just constantly losing the ball running into the opposition and not making space for each other.

Play the percentages ridiculously well. Also enough defensive players on the pitch at any one time to be competent enough to hold on to 1-0 leads. Kanu also quality at this level.
Beyond that….
