I see Okeke played for Stockport, but had played for us in an earlier round?
The answer, literally, is Cameron Bancroft.
He will feature tonight
If he does his fitness levels will go through the roof. I think every footballer needs a game once every few months.
- Hornby,
- Priestly (Burke @ half time), Straw, Browne
- Clarke, Pattinson, Warrington, Hollman, Harper (Hancock @ half time)
- Adomah, Richards
3-0 defeat
4-1 defeat and a non performance.
They are only playing to save the legs of the regulars. No matter how they perform they won’t displace the duracell bunnies.
Richards will surely be recalled soon anyway with Vale struggling and having a new manager.
We will go out tonight i can see it, what i cant get my head around is why have we only signed 1 player this month and that’s only due to finnegan leaving, surely you want to make your squad as strong as possible for the next game, seems like trivela are okay just to right off January which is alot of points to surrender whilst promotion rivals strengthen massively
Tonight is another free hit really nit ti bothered about the result. Would rather play the fringe players and rest Kanu and Flint etc.
Northampton have gone strong so far in this competition whether that will change now they are in a relegation scrap we will see.
I reckon we will lose too but it will be good to give Pattinson, Burke and Hancock some minutes. Hancock back is some compensation for Okeke leaving (can Harper play on the right?) and gives us another option for left-footed corners and free-kicks.
I think he might play Richards up front alongside Pressley or Matt, rather than Adomah. Flint and Kanu should definitely be rested.
Don’t care about the result, but we can’t have the same lack of effort and resolve we saw at Norwich.
Hope Hollman sees some significant game time and absolutely smashes it.
What on earth is Sadler on about? Frustrating that we don’t have games for them to play in?? It’s his choice to not play them, we’re consistently playing two games a week and have just had a game where we could name a squad of 20 players!! He is literally saying they aren’t even considered for any squad outside the tin pot, and the logic of that must be that the likes of Jellis, Comley, and Adomah (Matt when fit) are shoe ins no matter how they’ve been playing or how much the team needs freshening up.
So in essence, very little has changed from last season (in his approach etc?)
Seems he does very little to protect himself from criticism - to me that indicates he’s a job secure, yes man…
11/8 on the Cobblers to progress looks outstanding value. Dirty Barry has had a pony on them.
I understand his boring dead bat approach with the media. It’s the modern way. Protect the players at all costs.
Recently though his dead bat has become quite weird. I feel a bit trolled as there’s some absolute tosh in there now.
On Sunday Richards was on the bench. I was listening to the coverage on the radio, I think it’s fair to say that the first half was one way traffic and we had zero attacking play. At 2 0 down and with Pressley hooked Sadler decided not to have a punt on Richards in what was utter free hit territory but bring Adomah on (as per usual default first “striker” sub) 10 minutes later and now 4 0 down and the game reduced to a 35/40 minute dead rubber Sadler chose not to give Richards those minutes which apparently he needs so badly, his second striker sub came some 17 minutes later when Matt was introduced. Quite how anyone can read what Sadler has said in the interview and apply any sense to it whatsoever is beyond me. In the context of a discussion where we all hope to see things done differently to last winter, learning from mistakes and that sort of thing I find it astonishing that anyone can attribute that to Sadler. Here we are 12 months on watching Matt and Adomah given useless pointless game time in a game situation of zero consequence.
He will keep saying the same old irrelevant tosh until the day he realizes nobody takes any notice and he just departs mumbling to himself that the fans don’t know what they’re talking about and he is STILL right. Bit like the last days of the 3rd Reich.
AGAIN!! Had enough at Cambridge and Norwich!!
Fewer than 80 posts before Godwin’s’ Law kicks in.
