Get your Mother’s Day Walsall merc now before it’s to late x

Surely if it was Walsall themed you’d be getting your old mom zero.

Mom not Mum.

Agreed, mom round here. My son is ‘treating’ me to a ticket for the Grimsby match and fish and chips there for Mother’s Day.

Some areas it is mam.

That just sounds weird

I’m sure that to @KingCrod it’s mater.

Mom is the term widely used in the Midlands.

It is also used widely in the States!

So that’s why trivela came here! Less confusing!

Mothering Sunday

Take a look here @Cats to be able to make an informed decision

That’s about right - southerners are a bunch of mothers (as Tony Soprano might say ).

Thanks, that’s great.

This is the one you want and right by the ground!

Thank you, that’s closer which is good. We will probably walk into Cleethorpes after the match, weather permitting.

We had our fish and chips from Gr8 whites and must say they were possibly the nicest I have eaten. The batter was light and not at all greasy.

Always say mom but spell it mum

At junior school, I remember a teacher saying just that. He was originally from Chester (supported them.)He said up north they say it and spell it with a u, down south say and spell with o, but in Walsall we said “mom” but spelt it " mum."
