Nathan Lowe signs (Aug 2024)

He scored for them last season.

Difficult one.
Would love Lowe to come on against the baggies and grab the winner and then get into the team and continue to bang them in as he is a great lad and I wish him only the best.
Then flip the coin and I hope he has no impact and returns to us later on in the wimdow refreshed having had a good break and hungry for goals.

I mean since his recall

Agree with that.

I hope Lowe goes on to be really successful at Stoke and I think he will be. I don’t mind that but would hate him to be loaned out to a league 1 club.

I think he’ll surprise a few people with just how much he’s developed at 6 months at Walsall. He was pretty raw in August. I’d back him to score for Stoke which would be good for the lad. It would stick in the throat a bit if they loaned him out unless it was back to us lol

Wish the lad all the best, to score today would be :cherries::top::cupcake: especially if it turns out to be the winner. As regards being loaned out, top half league 1 team just not Wrexham is fine with me folks…

No one can fault Stoke for taking him back having had it done to them and being threadbare up front. Totally in bad taste if he was loaned out to any other side as weve already beaten several league one teams. I dont think Robbins would want to damage our good relationship . Hoping he plays today and they get two top notch strikers in Sunday

If he plays today he can only be loaned back to us? Hope he does well and scores, then hope Stoke sign 3 experienced championship forwards and decide to loan him back. Unlikely I know but stranger things have happened.

We really have got under other teams skin how we are running away with the League haven’t we?

Seen loads of things like this from different clubs in our league.

They must have some delusions that they are going to catch us. No chance.

Could be bad news for them if they are relying on us to beat other teams so they can get promoted. I don’t see how it is magnificent news for them.

Yeah its got to the point now that other teams in the mix for promotion wants us to win and take points off the other teams in the mix for promotion I’d say.

I was on a League 2 banter page yesterday, I don’t really post on it but I have a look.

There was a Vale fan that said our lead is only 12 points, that is just 4 games, he said. I’m not sure if he realised we are 14 points in front of them but anyway. Just 4 wins. It has taken them since the 19th of October to get 4 wins :joy: So it should be some time in March by the time they do it again.

Saw something similar at the start of the week, think it was a Bradford fan and they put something like ā€œGreat news for usā€

But then i thought, hang on… they’re 17 points behind us, could be 20 at 5pm today and 23 if we go there next week and win, so why does it concern them?

Even if the worst was to happen with them winning today and next week and us losing today and next week, we’re still 11 points ahead of them and they’ve only won 4 games in their last 12.

Another Wimbledon fan triggered here. This one’s even more hopeless.

Madness,

I can guarantee you that some of these teams will be willing us to win in some games to help them out.

It’s obviously very disappointing for us that Lowe has gone back, and I usually end up on the pessimistic side of things, but this team is fantastic, we will be just fine. The rest should worry about themselves I’d say.

Bradford, that big City with huge gates at this level, massive, celebrating little old Walsall losing a player.

The morale boost for other teams and the hit to our teams morale for losing Lowe could be huge
Teams will come to us with renewed hope they can beat us and that’s dangerous
Lowe was more than just a player for us , he was hope for us or fear for the opposition

I get that chap. We will replace him. Might not be quite the same quality but we are more than a one man team. I’d love lowey here but we have to move on. I’d expect movement on that front this next week

These are professional sportsmen you’re talking about and very successful one’s this season.

Yes, they’re probably disappointed that Lowe has returned to Stoke and they’ll be well aware that some will say we are doomed without him but, that will be all the motivation they will need to ensure they prove those people wrong.

If we lose our next five games we will probably still be in the top three. In a couple of weeks Wimbledon play Crewe, in February Vale play Salford and also Notts County, teams below us will drop points to rivals whatever we do.
Losing Lowe is disappointing but unlikely to be disastrous in the way the losses of Draper, DJ or George Evans were.

Sadlers team talk is easy this week. Go show the rest of L2 we aren’t a one man team
