Newport County (A) Monday April 21st, 12.30pm

Just hope we play some football rather than hoofball. That depends though on getting our footballers on the pitch in their proper positions.

I’d get Chang and Albert in the midfield - not for the whole game as they wont last but at least for half of it.

I’d be surprised to see Matt playing - he looked done for - so Levi and Harrison up front.

2-1 to the saddlers.

I’m going to miss this game I’m afraid, maybe my absence will spur us onto victory.
Boy, do we need three points! It seems like ages since we won a game of football.
The bad news is we’re in desperation mode now and have to win the next two games to have any chance of automatic promotion - a tall order they way we’ve been playing.

This is so frustrating, these last 3 games are so winnable..

But equally so lose-able with Saddler in charge.

I think we draw and results in I’ll go our away keeping us alive next week.

I was up at 5am and like a sucker for punishment talked myself into going to Newport after all. My 11th away game of the season today so I might as well see this season out now. Let’s hope wins are like buses. Don’t get 1 for donkeys then 2 come from nowhere. Please Sadler, give everyone a lift with ur starting line up. Like England, we still believe!!!

That would be my team. Might not be possible with Blues making demands on Hall and Chang. Even if blues say no more than 60 minutes then I’d go for it and give them 60. Playing the likes of Jellis, Stirk and Matt into the ground isn’t working. All good players but all out of form/confidence. Over to you Mr Sadler.

Gonna watch this one down the pub so at least the bar is there to either drown my sorrows or remembering what a win feels like. Let’s win this lads, UTS

Grimsby at home finally did it for me and nothing has happened since to make me change my mind. No threat up front, a midfield which spends all game looking at long balls over their heads, a defence which leaks goals and a manager who refuses to do anything about it.
We will be in Division 4 next season.
UP THE SADDLERS

I heard what Sadler said about Hall, same as everyone, so I’ll take him at his word.
However, this is absolutely absurd and I hope we never go down this road again.
Imagine we’re winning 1-0 and the game’s in the balance with Hall running the show and feeling fine, and we have to take him off because of some instruction from Blues?
They’re both match-fit now and it should be up to Walsall how many minutes they play, they’re playing for Walsall not Blues. I would also feel exactly the same if it was one of our players on loan elsewhere.

Regardless of what Sadler says or implies that we have the right characters in the dressing room I don’t believe we have any leaders on the pitch, Matt spends most of the game in verbal wars with the ref looking for fouls instead of holding the ball up and bringing players into the game. I don’t see anyone bollocking anybody when mistakes happen, or the tempo is slow or players looking half arsed, we appear a docile bunch that just accepts what is happening and shrug our shoulders, no one takes responsibility to get things going or set standards, no body kicks arse !! I firmly believe that a team reflects the managers traits, I’m surprised the team doesn’t run around with their arms folded and nodding their heads, ffs show some desire and passion.

Sadler seemed in typically bullish from in the pre match presser. I think he knows this recent run isn’t really is and if we can get back to basics it’s a very winnable game and one which I expect is to emerge from triumphant putting us within a single victory of the promised land.

Nearly an anagram

This time on Friday I felt positive (maybe the fact I had four days off helped!), and was convinced we’d get three points.

Totally different mood this morning. I hope for, but I definitely don’t expect three points. But it is a chance to go top of the league before the rest kick off and put some pressure on them, really hope they prove me wrong and that they do still have the fight, that the manager does have it in him to get the players up for it, to have the tactical nous to get three points against a struggling Newport County side.

This really does feel like the very last opportunity to get back in amongst it without becoming the chaser for the last two games as I can’t see all three above winning.

Would be a huge three points with Doncaster and Bradford playing each other next week. Please Walsall, don’t blow this opportunity. You won’t get a better chance this season.

If we mess this up he’d better be gone by the end of May.

1st game ill miss going/ watching - gona go get lost in some spanish hills.

If we dont win this, we are 100% staying in Div 3 next year. Win this and we’re up. Simple as that.

Good luck mi babiz.

“Matty Sadlers barmy army!”

Get this done Saddlers
