Catching the ball, badly weighted pass or the poor clearance?

Showed some life last few minutes.
Pitch is proper dry, probably to stifle them - but its seemingly effecting us more.

At half time (0-0) stats have us with 29% possession, and 5 shots to their 2.
Good in defence, not too convincing in attack. Maybe later will be some improvement.
They’ve done a real job on us that half. They haven’t actually had many chances but dominated game.
They have got 4 at the back, playing 3 up top, swelling midfield, and catching us by inviting press.
Time to sort it at half time and the second half magic!

Brilliant from Barrett. There are times he seems to move quite robotically with the ball and yet drifts past players with ease.
Fitness is the key here. Only issue with playing the same 11 at this time of year. Can take a toll on players. Use of subs key here
Thought we grew into it as the half went on. Both teams limited with chances, Lowe with the best chance of the game. These aren’t a bad side at all.

Some tired players out there. Not surprising after the efforts against Doncaster . Substitutes might well be vital in this game.

Poor first half from us. Too many misplaced passes and we’ve not won second ball enough.
Don’t think much of the Newport defence but they’re quite good at exploiting our high press and getting into decent attacking positions. Their final ball lets them down though. They’re also terrified of Jamma he won everything before they started to double up on him.
Inspite of how bad we’ve been we’ve still had the best opportunities. Hopefully Stoke were watching Lowes missed header and decide to leave him here!
Hoping for better in the second half. UTS.

We’re a little off today, erratic passing, not winning the ball and no energy - unusual for a Walsall side. We are a 2nd half team and need to show in this next half.
Newport have dominated by playing some decent stuff but have zero goals to show for it, can we rally this half, we’re all hoping so.
