Next New Manager

Here’s some reading for you, mardy arse.

Sensible thing to do would be line up your new manager first, but we’ll have to do due diligence first!

Since we last looked the following are now avaliable.

Matt Taylor, Nigel Pearson, Bonner, Hurst, Ainsworth, Barton, Garner, Rowett, Eustace, Harris, Holden, Elliott, Warnock.

Not finding bad jokes funny isn’t the same as not having a sense of humour :joy:

Hadn’t they just given him a new contract?

Persuade o Kelly to the end of the season, then offer him a seat on the board with a salary so he can play as much golf when he wants ( football people like o Kelly only crave golf when they’re in need of a 6 week recharge- then they’re itching to be back in football) and finally have someone who can actually begin to form a plan of improvement and recruit people to enact it rather than the next billy bullshitter hued from the philosophy of Bonsers contemptuous lackies.

His eyes are probably bulging out because that kid’s kneeling on his foot.

This :+1:

Doubt it, McDonald didn’t step in permanently after Taylor went even though he’d managed Carlisle and Oldham in the past.

If there are decent applicants they’ll learn their lesson and pick one of them.

Not sure why it didn’t work out for Paul Hurst second time at Grimsby but he’s one that would be realistic and bar a poor six months at Ipswich he’s generally done well at most of the clubs he’s managed.

Only currently 18 out of 24 in League One. Punching well above their weight. Imagine that feeling!

Clarke messed up a bit with transfers in his first summer (of course we don’t know if they were first choices or Plan Ds). Second season he wasn’t backed one little bit and was given far more support at Vale once he’d had six months to assess the squad.

I’m actually in the camp with that viewpoint regarding Flynn. That was managerial appointment that ticked so many boxes so when it dosen’t work you just wonder how any other realistic or logical appointment can work. And appointing Sadler simply wasn’t logical so you never gamble on league status.

He didn’t do all that badly second time. Took them back up to the EFL- the relegation was seen as more to do with the previous regime. Got them a cup run, and last season was their highest finish in the pyramid for years.

There HAS to be someone decent out there that can save this squad from the relegation trap door that is fast approaching us. Trouble is, who will do the choosing, a joint MD from 4,000 miles away who couldn’t care two hoots about a miserable English West Midlands football club, or his man in the UK Pomlette who has failed miserably in the past?
Doesn’t give us fans much of a hope does it?
