Worth staying awake for , you bet. Another Mean Machine performance.

Is 109 points really achievable , I doubt it but with this squad you never know.

We’ve got this

What a team! What a performance! Terrible conditions but we adapted better and put on a terrific display: there wasn’t a weak link in the team and, in truth, Vale never really looked like scoring aside from the scrambled effort cleared off the line. BTW who was that hero?
Tremendous display showing immense character, energy and a lot of skill. Thoroughly deserved.
On cloud nine. Chuffed to bits. Delighted.
Been told I have to wait until the usual time this evening for the alcohol :flushed::sweat_smile:.
UT mighty S.

I dont think we should get ahead of ourselves. Mat and the boys have been phenomenal in the first 18 games, but there’s a long way to go and many twists and turns. Doncaster are a threat, but so are MK and there will be others who have a good run. But Sadler has instilled great team spirit and resilience and so i am optimistic that we will be competing in some way at the business end of the season.

The only thing that can stop us now is a poor January.

I hope there are plans in place if we lose players… but most importantly we strengthen from a position of strength and push on!

Agree 100%. Noted how he often pressed their goalie and their full backs, sprinting from a distance. He’s a nightmare to play against. Can see how he’s been part of so many promotion winning teams.

As a bit of comfort to all Vale fans I’d like to say them “there’s no shame in losing to Walsall .you should be used to it anyway.

That’s the next test isn’t it - on the footballing side the team so far has passed every test put in front of them, and assuming that continues there’s every chance we get promoted.

What we need to see now is how the boardroom management team navigate - and potentially react to - the challenges of the January transfer window.

Stirk was the best player on the pitch, unreal

I wonder how many we have won when he starts as captain?

Life goes on … Accrington Stanley 0 Bromley 1 (7 min)

Swindon Town 1 Fleetwood Town 0 (8 min)

Moore getting a lot of flak on Radio Stoke.

The Vale message board thread for today’s game is now on page 39…

According to them the manager had 4 fit strikers but chose to not play any of them.

Accrington Stanley 1 Bromley 1 (9 min)

Harrogate Town 0 AFC Wimbledon 1 (12 min)

Just finished reading through the port vale forums. Very enjoyable.
Is it just me or do all clubs forums have the same “characters” that we have on here.

After Bromley and Charlton I was fearful our poor spell was going to kick in around some important games. Well done to the team, 6 points is an incredible return.

Difficult conditions and with only one single change made, that is a real shift put in on a worsening pitch.

Every player deserves some credit, but my Futuresobright MOM goes to Ryan Stirk
